Today's weather

As the title suggests, this rant is completely about todays weather. Okay maybe not completely but it will largely be about it. And what's so interesting about today's weather that I will dedicate a blog to it you ask? WELL READ IT

I woke up this morning feeling uncommonly warm. After a hot shower, I was nice and toasty in my uniform and felt no need to put on more clothes. I walked downstairs with my coat and saw that it was 23 degrees and sunny, courtesy of Sunrise. Of course at this point in time, it was not yet quite sunrise, and thus the weather escaped my notice.

It was only when the winds started shrieking their joy at being let free to stampede its way through the courts that I noticed my mistake. By that time, I, along with my peers, had nearly frozen to death at the mercy of the gleeful air. Thank god it's winter, or there would be leaves battering themselves against us too. The sky had taken on the color of the steel wool that I had noticed peeking out from a draw during an uneventful science lesson and rain had sprinkled itself likc icing over my hair.

To think that this morning I was going to boast to my cousin in China about it being 23 degrees and sunny a month into winter in Australia. Once again, the weather girl has let me down!
